Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 10, 2026MoneyJourney (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website (moneyjourney.finance), create an account, buy a membership, or subscribe to our newsletter.
1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data
MoneyJourney is responsible for your personal data. For any question about your data, write to contact@moneyjourney.finance or use our Contact page.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information that you give us or that is collected automatically by standard website infrastructure.
- Account Information: when you create an account we collect your email address, your name if you give it, your password (stored in encrypted form) and your membership level.
- Payment Information: payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive and keep order details such as the plan, amount, date, payment status, billing country and a Stripe customer reference, so we can manage your membership and keep our accounting records.
- Newsletter Information: your email address, and a record of your consent to receive the newsletter (the date and the wording you agreed to).
- Template Downloads: if you download our valuation template, we collect your email address.
- Messages and Suggestions: if you contact us or suggest a company for our watchlist, we collect what you write and the email address you choose to give us.
- Usage Data: non-identifiable information about how you access and use the website (such as browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site), through standard analytics and server logs.
3. How We Use Your Information and Our Legal Basis
- To provide your account and membership (create your account, give you access to members-only content, take payments, send receipts and service emails). Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- To send you our newsletter and the MoneyJourney Valuation Model and manage your subscription. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To answer your messages and consider your suggestions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you, or your request.
- To keep the website secure and working, and to prevent abuse and fraud. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
- To improve our website and understand how it is used. Legal basis: your consent where cookies or similar tools require it, otherwise our legitimate interest in non-identifiable statistics.
- To meet our legal duties, such as tax and accounting rules. Legal basis: legal obligation.
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate our website. They process data on our behalf or, in some cases, under their own policies:
- Stripe: processes membership payments and keeps payment records. Stripe may process data outside the European Economic Area with safeguards required by law. See Stripe’s own privacy policy.
- MailPoet: we use MailPoet to manage our email list and send newsletters. MailPoet tracks email open rates and link clicks to help us improve our content.
- Hosting provider: our website and its database, including account data, are hosted with Hostinger.
- YouTube: we embed our YouTube videos directly on the site. YouTube (Google) may use cookies or track your interaction with these videos in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Form tools: our contact and suggestion forms are processed on our own website, and entries are stored in our website database.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device.
- Essential cookies keep you logged in, remember your membership and keep the site secure. The site cannot work properly without them.
- Optional cookies (for example from embedded videos or analytics) are only set where the law allows, and where required after you have given your consent.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If you refuse essential cookies, you will not be able to log in.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Account data: for as long as your account exists. After you delete it, we remove or anonymise your data, except what we must keep by law.
- Payment and invoice records: for the period required by the tax and accounting law that applies to us.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. We then keep only a minimal record (your email address and the date of your opt-out) so that we do not email you again, and the record of your consent for as long as needed to show that it was given.
- Messages and suggestions: for as long as needed to answer or consider them, and no longer than 12 months.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your personal data. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete (you can also edit most details on your account page).
- Delete your data, and your account, where the law allows.
- Restrict or object to certain uses of your data.
- Receive your data in a common format (data portability).
- Withdraw your consent at any time, for example by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every newsletter. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before.
To use any of these rights, write to contact@moneyjourney.finance. We will answer within one month. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, and access restricted to those who need it. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Our website and memberships are for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Disclaimer: No Financial Advice
MoneyJourney is an educational and informational platform. We are not registered financial advisors. The information, research, and models provided on this website and in our emails do not constitute financial, investment, or legal advice. We do not collect your financial or investment data, and any investment decisions you make are solely your own responsibility. Please read our Legal & Investment Disclaimer.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. For significant changes we will also tell our members by email.
